Since 2023, Courtney McCoy envisioned cities where housing could be both affordable and accessible. After spending 25 years in Corporate America—building expertise in IT, Supply Chain, Sales, and Human Resources at a Fortune 500 company—his passion for entrepreneurship and community empowerment led him to real estate investing.
In 2016, he joined the Real Estate Investors Network (REIN) and by 2019 had launched his first two LLCs focused on property flips and rentals.
His strong collaborations with The Urban League of Middle Tennessee reflect his commitment to equitable advancement and community-centered growth. Courtney’s vision ensures that every development project resonates deeply with the needs of the communities it serves.
Loren Wood, M.Ed.
Co-Executive Director, Community Development Lead
Nonprofit Management Consultant
For 12+ years, Loren has worked shoulder-to-shoulder with nonprofit leaders and residents in historically marginalized communities, taking on some of the toughest challenges neighborhoods face: quality educational opportunities, healthy food access, gentrification, and gun violence.
Combined with a Master’s degree in Community Development & Action from Vanderbilt University, he brings both the knowledge and the conviction to move people and places forward more equitably, grounded in a deep belief in the power of civic participation and community-led design.
His work is simple in purpose but bold in practice: help communities build power and lead the change they want to see in their own neighborhoods.
Board of Directors
We’re looking for strategic partners who care about driving a more equitable future, and who are willing to work actively with us to leverage their network and resources to bring people to the table and provide support for the historically underserved and marginalized.
In particular, we are interested in folks with experience in architecture, construction, development, financing & accounting, transit, and urban planning. Expectations for potential board members would be at least 4-5 hours a month of support, with regular attendance at board meetings on a bi-monthly basis.

Community Advisory Board (CAB)
Providing advice, connections, insight, and support to help us achieve our mission, we’re looking for neighbors from all walks of life and expertise to help us drive more equitable outcomes.
In particular, we are interested in folks that are active, trusted members in their community, part of neighborhood associations, and organizations interested in a more equitable future. Support would be informal, as needed. Perfect for someone stretched thin with responsibilities, but still wants to help build a more equitable future.
